This round of grants is being issued to assist local residents and the local economy in dealing with the unprecedented job losses caused by the pandemic.
Money is tight for many people in the community, so this program is specifically designed to include business opportunities with extremely low start-up and operational costs.
WHO
Any person* on Long Island or the New York Metropolitan area who is interested in starting a business.
WHY
Many lost jobs will not be coming back. New business start-ups will be vital for our region. These grants will provide services to enable almost anyone to start a business at an extremely affordable rate.
WHEN
Applications will be accepted until
July 14th, 2021 or until all grant funding has been awarded.
WHAT
A $25,000 grant program to assist community members in starting or growing business. Each individual is eligible to receive up to $1,500 in business development grants and other tools.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
*Must be 18 years of age or older and applicant or business must reside in the Long Island or N.Y. Metro Area.
These are private business grants and do not need to be paid back.
Grants will consist of full and partial funding for; consulting on business start-up, market analysis, sales, marketing, branding and business development as well as website design and construction and more.
Not included are costs associated with; incorporation, business licensing and other items related to legal or tax components of the business.
